Out for a run
This is the final part of the recaps from my past year. You can here find part 1 part 2 and part 3.

This post was requested by one of my readers. What place in your home is where you feel most comfortable or do you have a piece of furniture or item you can't live without. I was thinking about this for a while but then I realized there's one place that always feels the best; my bed. It's my area of calmness and peace and I do not watch tv in bed. I also don't bring my computer there or any school assignments or work. I also try to keep my phone usage to a minimum when I'm going to bed. To get the best possible sleep I've also invested in my bed and the linens. I have a thick down blanket and down pillows and I recently bought new linens I love. If you have trouble sleeping here are also a few tips on how to get the sandman visiting quicker
Today was my first day on the new job. I'm really glad I landed this one. First days tend to be the same; you're "pushed around" here and there meeting tons of new people and names you're supposed to remember. And get a bit of a clue about what you're gonna work with. It was a lot of hello and welcome I was hearing and even after the first day I felt like I'll fit right in. Here we go! Now I'm just relaxing on the couch sipping some nice hot chocolate. Good night everyone!
The other day when I was back home visiting my folks I started thinking about family. Specifically my family. How I'm lucky I'm so close with them and have the possibility to see them as often as I like. I can't imagine my life without my parents, siblings and our newest addition from almost 5 years back, our dog. My family is very traditional, but to different people family means different things. You don't have to be blood relatives to be family. Some families have two mothers, some families just have one parents, sometimes best friends make up a family.
Coffee capsule machines are a current trend now and they come in all shapes and sizes. I used to have a regular coffee maker, but since I don't drink regular coffee pretty much at all it was more of a decoration. Now I've bought the Paulig Cupsolo capsule machine. I liked it because it's Finnish design and a lot of the flavors are ones that you find in the stores; regular Kulta Mokka coffee and the one and only Tazza hot chocolate that everyone knows is the best drink when you're hitting the slopes. And it only takes less than a minute to make. Yummy! If I order coffee somewhere then it's a cappuccino. I love it and you can make one with this machine also. It doesn't have the foaming for milk, but I happen to have a separate machine for that so I can get a decent cappuccino. As long as you clean it often enough I'd say it's a good investment if you want your coffee quick and like trying new things. I'f you're a true coffee lover and drink several cups a day then maybe invest in a more professional machine. But for me this is all good. Enjoy your coffee moments!
I slept better than I have in a long time last night. In honor of the new year we bought some new pillows and blankets by Joutsen, pure Finnish design. I tried out my new pillow last night and it really made a difference to my previous (Joutsen=Swan) pillow. There's no place like your own bed.
