Saturday a week ago I arrived to Stockholm to visit my friend Anna. It was late in the afternoon and almost dinner time so we headed to the city to walk around and to have dinner. We managed to get a table at Sturehof, which is one of the most well known restaurants in Stockholm and all Sweden. It's located right in the heart of Stureplan, the Stockholm playground. Since we were out a bit early we were able to just walk in, but a few hours later it would've been highly unlikely without a reservation. The menu has a big variety of foods from seafood to traditional Swedish meatballs. I like the ambiance, it doesn't feel too crowded. It's like tradition meets modern. If you haven't tried it yet then you should. So weather your having just drinks at the bar/terrace or enjoying a three course meal this is the place to be, there's something for everyone.
Viikko sitten lauantaina saavuin Tukholmaan kyläilemään ystäväni Annan luona. Oli myöhäinen iltapäivä ja illallisaika lähestyi joten suuntasimme keskustaan kävelemään ja syömään illallista. Onnistuimme saamaan pöydän Sturehofista, joka on yksi Tukholman ja koko Ruotsin tunnetuimmista ravintoloista. Se sijaitsee aivan Stureplanin keskellä, joka on Tukholman leikkikenttä. Koska olimme liikkeellä melko aikaisin pääsimme suoraan sisään, mutta muutama tunti myöhemmin se olisi ollut lähes mahdotonta ilman varausta. Menu on erittäin kattava ja listalta löytyy kaikkea merenelävistä perinteisiin ruotsalaisiin lihapulliin. Pidän tunnelmasta siellä, se ei ole liian ahdas. Lyhyesti voisi kuvailla sanoin perinne vs moderni. Jos et ole vielä käynyt kannattaa ehdottomasti. Olit sitten menossa vain drinksuille baariin/terassille tai nauttimaan kolmen ruokalajin illallista tämä on paikka jossa olla, kaikille löytyy jotain.

Before going out we headed back to Anna's to relax a bit and change for the night club opening. There's a new arena called Tele2 Arena right outside the city and they just opened an entire floor there called Stockholm Tolv which is filled with restaurants and such, and also opening a night club Anna was invited to. It looked nice and besides meeting a lot of Anna's friends (who since being in the night club and restaurant business thought my name was funny) I also ran into my friend Clara who went to the same school where I am now. After that we just hopped from one place to another of Stockholm's best including Berns and Spy Bar. I had a fun night. Thanks Anna!
Ennen kuin lähdimme ulos suuntasimme takaisin Annalle rentoutumaan hetkeksi ja vaihtamaan vaatteet illan yökerhoavajaisia varten. Tukholman keskustan ulkopuolella on avattu uusi areena nimeltään Tele2 arena ja siellä avattiin kokonainen kerros jonka nimi on Stockholm Tolv, joka on täynnä ravintoloita ja muuta, ja uusi yökerho sinne aukesi myös johon Anna oli kutsuttu. Se näytti hienolta ja sen lisäksi että tapasin paljon Annan kavereita (jotka siksi että ovat yökerho-ja ravintola-alalla pitivät nimeäni hauskana) törmäsin myös ystävääni Claraan joka on käynyt kanssani samaa koulua. Sen jälkeen hyppelimme paikasta toiseen Tukholman parhaimmistossa, mm. Berns ja Spy Bar tuli koluttua. Minulla oli hauska ilta. Kiitos Anna!
